Service Station Precinct — South East QLD

Civil and environmental engineering for a new service station and convenience retail development, including forecourt drainage, site contamination assessment coordination, and utility connections.

The Challenge

The site had a prior use history requiring Phase 1 and Phase 2 environmental assessments, and the council required a dedicated water quality treatment system for forecourt runoff.

Our Solution

We coordinated the environmental assessment programme and designed a coalescing plate separator system for forecourt drainage, with secondary containment for fuel storage areas. The site access was redesigned to improve sight distance and reduce conflict with the adjacent signalised intersection.

Outcomes

• Environmental assessment completed with no unexpected contamination
• DA approved within 11 weeks of lodgement
• Forecourt drainage system exceeded regulatory requirements
