Multi-tenancy industrial precinct in Ipswich — site planning, heavy vehicle road design, stormwater management, and utility connections for a 4.8 ha estate.
The Challenge
The site was located adjacent to a high-frequency freight rail corridor, requiring specialist vibration assessment coordination and design of retaining structures within the rail infrastructure corridor.
Our Solution
We coordinated a geotechnical and vibration specialist review early in the design process, and designed a reinforced soil wall system to manage the interface with the rail corridor. Stormwater from the hardstand areas was treated through gross pollutant traps and sediment forebays.
Outcomes
- Rail corridor interface approved by ARTC first submission
- Full estate infrastructure completed 3 weeks ahead of programme
- Stormwater system achieved 80% TSS removal target
